Dear Members
Thank you to those members who raised concerns about and those who support SIPOA's recent letter to the Islands Trust regarding their proposed 2011-12 budget. It is always healthy to have respectful debate in an organization and also to have a discussion on these kinds of things because it helps to clarify issues and points of view. And, friendly dissent is a good thing.
Your Executive Committee (EC) recently met to discuss the on-going issues facing all island property owners. While EC minutes will be posted online in the near future, a quick review of the action items includes:

Now that summer days on Saturna are fond, but fading, memories and the weather sometimes does its best to disrupt well-laid plans, it seems like this is the ideal time to send you the warmest of seasonal greetings from your SIPOA directors.
Dear Ms. Malcolmson: Re: Bylaw 102: Saturna Island I write in my capacity as President of the Saturna Island Property Owners' Association (SIPOA). At this point, we need not address proposed Bylaw 102 on its merits. As a board, we may take a position on its merits after due consultation.
