DIRECTORS' MEETING FOLLOWING AGM

1. Call to Order
Murray Rankin called the meeting to order at 2:15pm. He then turned over the chair to new President Bill Schermbrucker.
2. Signing of Documents
Documents relating to change of Directors for 2012 - 2013 were signed. Susan Jamieson-McLarnon agreed to take on the role of Corresponding Secretary. Ron Hall will take over as Treasurer from retiring member Ellen Bourassa.
3. Car Stop Program
Ron Hall agreed to provide cost listings for the project to Susan Jamieson-McLarnon. She will write a report on the project to be submitted to CRD along with a letter thanking them for supporting the program.
4. Member Survey
Susie Washington-Smyth and Susan Jamieson-McLarnon will fine tune the survey prior to circulating it.

5. Parks Canada Impression re Lack of Support
Ron Monk pointed out that at one of the Open Space meetings some residents were against the establishment of camping at Narvaez Bay mostly relating to anticipated lack of supervision as well as potential danger of fires. At that time access to the road down to Narvaez Bay area had a locked gate which was a concern for fire responders. The legitimate concern regarding need for emergency access has long since been resolved and the response from residents at the Economic Development Workshop to management within the parks was generally positive.
6. Next Meeting of SIPOA Board
Next meeting will be on July 22, 2012 at 11am at the home of Bill Schermbrucker.
